“Is there any true purpose attached to my life?”
“Am I living the life I was created to live?”
“If this is what life is supposed to be...I CAN'T STAND IT!”
These are the thoughts that ran through my head on a Monday morning in January 2014 as I sat on the floor locked in my laundry room in complete despair. I was so far removed from that girl who once believed she could do anything. I felt utterly stuck. Looking in from the outside, it appeared I had a wonderful life. At 29 years old, I was married to my high school sweetheart with 3 beautiful children and another on the way; we had a growing business, I was able to work from home (before that was a thing), I had a nice house, nice cars, and was respected in the community. But the truth is, I was burdened with depression, low self-worth, and a lack of identity. It's at that moment that I realized I had spent most of my life trying to keep up an appearance, trying to prove my worth, and trying to "achieve" my way out of brokenness by chasing money, possessions, and status to be validated. But with each passing day, I was collapsing under the pressure turning to excessive alcohol use and smoking to escape, overeating for comfort, and inappropriate relationships for attention. As these destructive habits persisted, I came to a point where I couldn't take anymore.
Through the fear, the pain, and the tears, I called out to the one I knew would always listen and understand, my Father in Heaven. For the first time in a long time, I prayed. I prayed for change.
As the months progressed, my marriage that was hanging on by a thread had suffered its last blow, and I remember uttering the words "I'm Done". Standing in the shambles that was my life, I didn't know what I was doing or where I was going. Even amid my uncertainty, I had hope, and I felt peace. YAHUAH answered my prayer. Not in the way I expected but in the way He saw fit. Father, always knew what He had in store for me, but now He finally had my full attention. That day, I promised my Heavenly Father that I would serve Him for the rest of my life if He would get me through. He assured me that if I trust in His Word, follow His direction, and be redeemed by His son YAHUSHA HAMASHIACH (Jesus Christ), He would take me to heights I never knew were possible. I believed, and I surrendered. From that moment, my life was never the same.
Throughout this amazing journey, I have loved, learned, experienced, connected, expanded, built, and strengthened, but I've also lost, suffered disappointment, faced embarrassment, been criticized, mocked, overlooked, and doubted. I had to face my pain. I had to correct my wrongs. I had to forgive myself and others, even those who hurt me the most. I had to continuously surrender my own will to the will of YAH for His work to be completed in me.
As I continued to grow and gain confidence, the Holy Spirit urged me to share my testimony and use the education, expertise, and experiences I've gained over the years to serve the masses, not Corporate America. Hence, The Operating by Design Kingdom Restoration Movement was born. I am dedicated to helping men and women break free from all the lies and return to the source of all truth, the Word of God. For seven years, I've been helping truth-seekers, like yourself, align with the blueprint given through Holy Scripture to activate the life of abundance we were all created to live. I'm also the founder of Kingdom Mindset Development, LLC, Operating by Design Mindset Coaching and Development, The Abundant Life 360 Success Network, and Co-Host of It's All Truth - The Podcast.
